School Credit for Theatre Productions

Students who participate in any production, whether cast, crew, or creative team, are eligible to receive 5 credits towards the VAPA and elective graduation requirements. A course, called Drama Special Projects, is added to their schedules and to their transcripts upon completion. Letter grades in this course count in GPA calculations. Note: This does not count towards the A-G requirements for UC/CSU schools. Credit is based on the number of hours of work put in during the planning, rehearsing, and performing processes. Accommodations have been made to the required hours to reflect the different nature of our “pandemic productions." Letter grades are determined by attendance, evidence of effort, and completion of a handful of forms in a timely manner.
